Spring 2008 Education Tour
| The SoVa’ (South Valley) ‘Trek’ started at the Tempe Art and Cultural Center, then on to the
Hohogum Heritage Center on the Gila Reservation. From there, visit to Basha’s headquarters in
Gilbert, and then lunch at the Queen Creek Olive Mill. Finally on to Florence, AZ and the St.
Anthony’s Greek Monastery. Ladies needed to wear a full length skirt and a scarf over their head for
the monastery, since no bare feet or arms were allowed for men or women. |
